Welcome, come in, sit down, grab some coffee or whatever and enjoy your visit.

I'm a prolific quilter, using the smallest possible pieces, and often by hand quilting, although certain friends are trying to win me over to machine quilting. I am also Native American and sometimes it shows in my quilts and sometimes it doesn't. I wander like a gypsy and often look for projects small enough to take with, although there is always room for new ones, inspired by stops along the way. I may get shot for this but here is a picture of Mischele and I taken last week when I dropped by on my way to my new residence. We are both RN's, so perhaps the multitasking ability helps with quilting? At any rate, it proves we like to stay busy and are very creative, usually not taking no for an answer. I attempted t move most of her stash into my truck, but she won as there wasn't room for any of it; thus giving me an excuse to visit again now that we are close enough to visit "via greyhound".

My dearest quilting friend is Mischele, she runs simpleshapes.blogspot.com and I can usually get away with blaiming my vice on her. Sometimes not. She has co-authored a book and one of my quilts (rather her quilt, I quilted it) is in there somewhere. As I am unpacking a portion of my house as we speak, I can't find the book to give you the specific page.

Mischele moves, 'Ticia moves, only I have moved twice now since she has moved. Her turn. Although I doubt it will happen soon. Dropping by there last week, I probably drooled over every book, quilt in progress and fabric stash cabinet in the studio but did come away with a bag of supposedly unusable scraps (ha.........yeah, gold to me
Oh yeah, this is my blog isn't it? I've been web-gathering again while typing. This may spin into several blogs later as I multi task big time. I spin, weave, knit, crochet, quilt, shire, bead, geneaogy and other numerous things.
I will scan and post some of my quilts later in posts down the road; the computer has managed to be unpacked and upgraded to high speed internet (try doing ancestry on dial up) and several trips more will be required as winter drove us out before we got everything down south of the Mason Dixon Line.
Now I have to claim both sides, my father's parents immigrating from Sweden and Norway and living North of the line, but my mother's side immigrating from Ireland and working their way South during the Revolutionary War and hiding out from the Native American Round Ups, having joined families with the Natives.
I presently am a Daughter of The American Revolution on my Hamrick side (not West Virginia Hamricks) and have proven my Cherokee and Creek lines but still working on the other tribes.
I have met many new and wonderful relatives in my genealogy quest.
Ok, I can see where several blogs are going to be necessary, but we will play this one by ear for awhile. I call it wanderfooting (can see Mischle's nose wrinkle) because I wander looking for gravestones and courthouses and relatives and yes, I have moved over 20 times since being old enough to drink.
Enjoy, leave me messages, questions, whatever!
'Ticia
